About me
My name is Milly Gathard and I am an artist/illustrator from the UK.
I have been drawing since I was two years old, and haven’t stopped since!
I have always had a a huge imagination. I started creating made up creatures when I was 6 years old, and later started making my own stories, and then characters!
To this day, some of my favourite things to do is make up characters and stories. There is no better way for me to express myself.
I have a big love for all animals great and small, but my favourites are guinea pigs, dogs, bees and hoverflies!
I have a diagnosis of ASD and a moderate learning disability. Ever since being diagnosed, my mum has been fighting to get me an EHCP. 10 years later, I got one, at 17.
Whilst I’ve been at home, waiting for it to be approved, I decided it was time to start taking things seriously.
I’ve been drawing and posting on social media, networking and promoting, taking art commissions, as well as trying to start a business.
Having a learning disability makes things incredibly difficult, as well as that, I have been battling depression for seven years. However i have big goals in my life I hope to achieve, and I will not rest until I achieve my dreams!
To all of those supporting my art, thank you <3
Dream big and don’t give up!! <3
